The World of Safety and Health Asia is Now an Official Affiliate Member of APOSHO

World of Safety & Health Asia is now an official Affiliate Member of the Asia Pacific Occupational Safety & Health Organisation (APOSHO).
The Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization (APOSHO) is an international body composed of non-profit professional organizations devoted to the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. Although full membership is given to non-governmental organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, any occupational safety and health organizations, even in regions other than the Asia-Pacific, can join the APOSHO as associate or affiliate members.
The first APOSHO Annual Conference took place in Singapore in August 1985 at the suggestion of the chairperson of the National Safety Council of Australia. It was called initially “the Coordinating Committee of Asia-Pacific National Safety Councils” and later in 1992, renamed as now at the 8th Annual Conference. Members as of 2020: 39 organizations from 21 different countries or districts with two or more member organizations from Australia, China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Mauritius, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. respectively.
APOSHO’s objective is to promote and enhance understanding and cooperation within the Asia Pacific Region in areas related to Occupational Safety and Health awareness and practices and promote the networking and exchange of information on Occupational Safety and Health awareness and practices in the Asia Pacific Region.
WSHAsia is now part of this important organisation that is steering the OSH industry in this region. Through this partnership, APOSHO and the World of Safety and Health Asia will raise awareness on occupational safety and health hazards, which will help industries and their stakeholders to be safe and promote safety and health information that benefits everyone.
