In a recent interview with WSHAsia, Landryll Kee shares his opinions and insights regarding his latest solution for a safety culture change.
What motivated you to start your company?
Most organisations will fall back on consultants for a safety culture change, and the government is driving this effort but apparently, not many actually know how to do it. There are no consultants willing to share their trade secrets, and there are no good courses which has a curriculum explaining about this. This topic eventually becomes a myth.
How will your solution benefit the safety and health industry?
The solution I have is to create a workshop to disclose the formula for this transformation so that the safety professionals will no longer need to engage consultants as they know the formula themselves. The organisation no longer needs to pay sky-high fees or be at the mercy of consultants to deliver this transformation. We need to stop this trend! With this formula in mind, the safety professionals will understand the secret that the consultant wishes to hide, and they will be able to guide their organisation in doing the transformation themselves. This will save costs, the organisation will have more trust, and it will even build a stronger culture than the solutions the consultant would have provided, which are not attuned to the organization’s culture, but fixed template solutions.
Based on the solution you provide, which industries are your primary targets?
All industries will benefit from this, as at the moment, there are no good answers out there. Some courses are held in an attempt to attract the organisation to employ them as consultants without sharing the formula for success.
What possible suggestions have you got to increase the level of safety based on your solution?
With this solution, the safety professional will have higher levels of confidence as they will have their own secret to success, and the organisation will empower them with their trust. Many safety professionals have searched for many years and still lack any sense of direction to deliver this. With this formula, everything will be much clearer.
Any other information you would like to share that would help prevent accidents by using your solution? You may share with us relevant case studies as well.
My formula also aligns with the futuristic framework ESG, which I am confident not many people know how to do. With this understanding in mind, the safety professional will know how to tackle safety culture problems in a new way, different from the conventional method, and deliver a stronger solution.

A married WSH professional with 2 young children and is still keen to know more about safety during practicing. Having a bachelor’s and master’s degree in occupational health and safety does not mean that I will stop learning. Instead, the more I practice, the more gaps I can see that I have and I’ll know how to bridge these gaps. The later stage of my safety career has been very enriching as I am able to direct safety towards a new direction and this newly found aspect enables me to see safety differently. With this in mind, I hope to enrich the WSH professionals in my country and make them more resilient in fighting bad safety culture!
