ONGO Pop-up Office receives International Design Award

For Ergonoma Journal, which has supported the “ONGO” project and its various variations since its creation, ONGO® is visionary, it always anticipates changes in working methods. It gives the right keys to increase the “well-being” of employees on a daily basis in all new forms and categories of employment.

The founder of ONGO®, Eberhard Lenz, summarizes: “ONGO® offers solutions tailored to the demands of tomorrow’s working environments, which invite employees to be more agile and therefore more productive, regardless of the budget or amount of space available.”

Just launched this spring, the new ONGO® workplace concept is recognized by the acclaimed jury to perfectly reflect the office of the future. The jury emphasizes that we are – not only since Corona – in the middle of a process, that is radically turning our entire working universe upside down. The rapid transformation from a production to a digital knowledge economy isn’t just
about companies and their people getting more digitally connected. It is about Big Data, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence turning routine jobs into completely new job categories, with the result, that tomorrow’s employees will work in a much more agile way – creatively collaborating in always different formations.

This is what ONGO® has recognized and what it has translated into timeless design. The main components of the Pop-Up Office are a mobile desk, an active stool a versatile board and a mobile meeting table.

The desk is called ONGO®Spark, because it is probably the most spontaneous and flexible workmate, likely to bring the spark of ingenuity to work. With a hydraulic mono column, it is height-adjustable without any cables or power supply. Two double castors under its inclined footrest make it easy to pull to any desired location. The table top, just big enough to accommodate
all work materials, including a coffee cup, integrates both a handle for easy manoeuvring and a magnetic groove to bring the ONGO® stool along.

The stool is called ONGO®Free and is especially developed for people who work at height-adjustable tables. The small round seat is very comfortable. Its curved foot makes sure that you get lots of movement while sitting – and thus maximum freedom and productivity. By the way: the foot has a wooden core for sustainability and comes in different colours and decors.

The desk and stool are complemented by the ONGO®Boards. This versatile family of furniture can be used for sound insulation or privacy, for noting brainstorming ideas, to carry ONGO® super-light Agility Boards, or – in the monitor version – for a spontaneous video conference. It can be rolled anywhere easily and flexibly thanks to its lockable double castors.
