WSHAsia Events/Courses – Terms and Conditions for Participants
By purchasing any course or event on the WSHAsia Events/Courses platform, you (“Participant”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your purchase, participation, and refund requests for events and courses listed on WSHAsia’s Events/Courses platform.
1. General Terms
1.1 WSHAsia acts as a marketplace facilitator, connecting participants with third-party vendors who organise and deliver the courses or events.
1.2 Participants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their details (name, email, contact number, etc.) during registration.
1.3 Access to courses or event participation is non-transferable unless otherwise stated by the vendor.
1.4 WSHAsia reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Registration & Payment
2.1 All registrations and payments must be made via WSHAsia’s secure Stripe-powered payment gateway.
2.2 Payment must be completed in full before a participant is granted access to a course or event.
2.3 Upon successful payment, participants will receive a confirmation email with the event/course details. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact contact@wshasia.com.
2.4 Course/Event vendors may have limited slots available; registration is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon successful payment.
3. Refund & Cancellation Policy
By making a payment, participants agree to the following refund and cancellation terms:
3.1 Cancellation by the Participant
- No refunds will be provided once payment has been made, unless the course/event has been cancelled or rescheduled by the vendor.
- If the vendor has a separate refund policy, the participant must contact the vendor directly for any refund requests.
- Requests for substituting participants (transferring the ticket to another person) may be considered at the discretion of the vendor and must be arranged at least 7 days before the event date.
3.2 Cancellation by the Vendor or WSHAsia
- If a course/event is cancelled or rescheduled by the vendor or WSHAsia, participants will have the option to:
- Receive a full refund (minus any payment processing fees deducted by Stripe).
- Transfer their registration to another available course/event of equal value.
- Refunds will be processed within 30 working days after approval of the request.
3.3 Course/Event Modifications
- Vendors reserve the right to make minor changes to the course/event (e.g., speaker lineup, schedule adjustments) without offering refunds.
- If there is a major change (e.g., significant content removal, change of event format), participants may request a partial refund at the discretion of WSHAsia and the vendor.
4. Participant Responsibilities
4.1 Participants must comply with all event/course rules set by the vendor, including attendance, participation, and behaviour guidelines.
4.2 WSHAsia and the vendor reserve the right to remove any participant from a course or event if they engage in disruptive behaviour, harassment, or fail to comply with the stated rules—no refunds will be issued in such cases.
4.3 Participants are responsible for having the necessary technical setup (e.g., stable internet, compatible devices) for online events/courses. WSHAsia is not responsible for technical issues on the participant’s side.
5. Intellectual Property & Usage
5.1 All course materials, presentations, videos, and documents provided by vendors are intellectual property of the vendor or trainer.
5.2 Participants may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any course content without the vendor’s written permission.
5.3 Access to online events/courses may be time-limited; vendors determine the duration of access, and WSHAsia is not responsible for expired access periods.
6. Liability & Disclaimers
6.1 WSHAsia is not responsible for the content, quality, or accuracy of courses/events delivered by vendors. The vendor holds full responsibility for the training, materials, and delivery of their programme.
6.2 WSHAsia does not guarantee job placements, certifications, or any specific outcomes resulting from participation in any course/event.
6.3 Participants attend events and courses at their own risk, and WSHAsia shall not be liable for any personal injury, damages, or losses incurred during the event/course.
7. Force Majeure
7.1 WSHAsia and vendors shall not be held liable for delays, changes, or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Government regulations or restrictions
- Strikes, power outages, or technical disruptions
- Speaker cancellations due to emergencies
In such cases, WSHAsia will work with vendors to offer alternative solutions, including rescheduling or partial refunds where applicable.
8. Data Protection & Privacy
8.1 By registering for a course/event, participants agree that WSHAsia may share their registration details with the event/course vendor for administrative purposes.
8.2 WSHAsia does not sell or distribute participant data to third parties for marketing purposes without consent.
8.3 Participants may receive email updates and promotional materials from WSHAsia, but can opt-out at any time.
9. Agreement to Terms & Conditions
9.1 By proceeding with payment, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
9.2 Once payment is made, these terms become legally binding, and participants are expected to comply fully.
