ARCURE is strengthening its commitment to workplace safety in Germany by joining the “Construction Machine Safety” network alongside iconic actors in its ecosystem

Arcure, a French specialist in artificial intelligence applied to image processing in industry, is now one of the partners of the German network “Construction Machine Safety” (Netzwerk Baumaschinen), a forum for exchange and expertise in all areas where potential collisions between people and industrial machinery must be avoided. Arcure is thus joining the ranks of prestigious actors in its ecosystem who are members of the network, such as Bosch, SICK and MOTEC.

This is a new recognition in the German market, which is strategic for Arcure.

After being highly noticed at BAUMA, the world’s largest trade fair for industrial machinery organized by the German occupational accident insurance association BG BAU, by winning the EuroTest-Preis 2022 award for its Blaxtair Origin solution, Arcure confirms its status as a key player in workplace safety in the country by joining the “Construction Machine Safety” network. This is a recognition of Arcure’s expertise and an important lever for visibility for Arcure in Germany, a market that offers promising growth prospects for the company.

A forum for expertise and exchange.

The “Construction Machine Safety” network (Netzwerk Baumaschinen) was launched about fifteen years ago by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to improve workplace safety. It brings together diverse members such as scientists, economists, researchers, market surveillance specialists, representatives of employer liability insurance associations, trade unions, and manufacturers. They exchange their expertise to encourage the development of people and object detection technologies around mobile machinery and utility vehicles to effectively prevent accidents in all application contexts (intralogistics, construction, agriculture, etc.). Arcure will thus be a decisive member in promoting the essential role of artificial intelligence in addressing these challenges.

Workplace safety is a team effort.

Driven by a common mission, members of the network aim to effectively support industrial companies, operators, and employees in the challenges of strengthening safety. For example, they co-produce informative guides providing a comprehensive overview of people and object detection systems to avoid collisions with mobile machinery. Entrepreneurs, managers, workplace safety specialists, and drivers/operators thus have practical information, guidelines, and valuable advice for safe and efficient use of their equipment.

Jean-Gabriel Pointeau, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Member of the Executive Board of Arcure, stated:

“We have been pioneers in the market for pedestrian detection around industrial vehicles, and for over a dozen years, we have been committed to enhancing workplace safety. Joining the ‘Netzwerk Baumaschinen’ is a new step for us to strengthen our positioning and cooperation with the German authorities and our ‘Tech for safety’ ecosystem to contribute to the goal of ‘zero accidents at work’. This partnership will also help us define and follow the latest standards and regulations and strengthen our exchanges with our customers. It will be a decisive source of inspiration and reflection for developing our future products.”
