The bizSAFE Convention 2022 was held on 8 December at the Max Atria, Singapore Expo. It served as a platform for companies to learn from each other on workplace safety and health (WSH) best practices as well as to celebrate winners of the bizSAFE Awards 2022. There were 29 companies and individuals recognised across three categories – the bizSAFE Partner Award, bizSAFE Enterprise Exemplary Award, and bizSAFE Champion Award.

Azmie’s main objective is to make sure that everyone returns home safely. He pushes for WSH digitalization efforts in AlfaTech Asia and assists project managers in building a safety-first culture among the workers. “It can be challenging at times,” he says, especially when facing resistance from workers, but he believes in educating and influencing them from a safety perspective instead of bulldozing his way through. His dedication to ensuring high WSH standards on work sites has snagged him a bizSAFE Champion Award this year. As part of the annual bizSAFE Awards, this accolade is given to individuals who help improve the WSH performance at their workplaces.
