Isaac Mutunga is an award-winning Safety and Health professional from Kenya with extensive experience in telecommunications and infrastructure projects. A First Class Honors graduate and recipient of the AfriSAFE Professional of the Year Award Nominee 2024 & 2025, Safety Officer of the Year Award Winner 2025 in Kenya, and a Michael Adamson Scholarship winner for NEBOSH level 6 International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health 2023, he is passionate about advancing workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and professional excellence across the World through leadership, training, and practical field experience.

In 2025, Isaac Mutunga made significant contributions to advancing occupational safety and health within the telecommunications and infrastructure sectors in Kenya. In recognition of his commitment to safety leadership and professional excellence, he was honoured with the Africa Safety Excellence Award–Professional of the Year 2024 & 2025, Safety Officer of the Year Award in Kenya 2025.
He had achieved zero accidents despite working in a very high-risk environment in 2025. He was promoted from being a safety officer in Kenya to oversee Safety, Health, and Environment implementation in East Africa as the Safety Manager. He has received multiple awards from the company clients as the best HSE performer. He has immensely contributed to Occupational Safety and Health Policies being implemented in Kenya through the Directorate of occupational safety and Health. He has organised boot camps and trainings to mentor young safety professionals in universities in Kenya. Through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and safety advocacy on professional platforms, he continued to promote a strong safety culture and awareness among workers and industry professionals across Africa.
