In 2024, thanks to the incredible support and collaboration of all stakeholders, Will Maiker was fortunate to receive recognition in the field of Safety and Health. Being named a finalist for the Canadian Best Safety Employer Award and receiving the Golden Peacock Award India for environmental initiatives were truly humbling experiences for him, highlighting the shared dedication to enhancing global safety standards. His humble contributions included facilitating 14 free Global Safety Career and SME Sessions to raise industry awareness and professionalism. Internally, he worked on introducing digital solutions to improve efficiency and compliance in managing permits and contractor safety. In line with a commitment to public health, he was part of executing three life-saving interventions. Through collective efforts with cross-functional teams, they significantly reduced workplace incidents. The employee engagement programmes and safety recognition schemes that they developed nurtured a proactive safety culture. Focusing on Training and Development, he helped craft and deliver workshops, promoting continuous learning among employees. These achievements are just a reflection of his compassion for fellow human beings, and he credited most of it to everyone at CBRE, who united as one family to prevent workplace accidents.
