As a HOP champion, he has collaborated with employees and contractors to foster a culture prioritising safety and continuous improvement. Following incidents related to facial injuries, he worked with management and field personnel to enhance work practices and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This led to the development of a prototype table lifter to prevent hose swinging and the implementation of face helmets with integrated visors, setting a new safety standard on Jurong Island.
Additionally, he has helped to shift from a "blame and punish" to a "learn and improve" mindset, engaging multi-disciplinary teams to identify over twenty improvement opportunities in 2024. He developed a checklist and training aids for inspecting Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) and collaborated with SMEs on technology adaptation such as CCTV with data analytics for fire and leak detection. He is working on Gas Detector Fleet Manager (GDFM) for managing Personal Gas Meters effectively.
