Introduced the online safety dashboard, a single-window mechanism for all HSE needs within the current organisation. Successfully launched and completed the Safety Perception survey for all employees, with a significant participation rate of over 67%. Additionally, I played a crucial role as part of the high-level investigation committee for a major accident resulting in loss of lives. Through meticulous analysis, we identified the exact root cause of the incident and made significant recommendations poised to enhance safety standards across the entire Indian oil and gas industry.
Outline the Workplace Safety and Health initiatives that have been implemented by you in your workplace in 2023.
Presentations were delivered to a high-power committee constituted by MOPNG, and I actively participated in the revision of OISD Standards. Additionally, I played a key role in implementing Vision Zero certifications at various locations and obtaining Zero Waste to Landfill certifications for all operating locations. Furthermore, I anchored the organisation's achievement of securing the 8th place in the DJSI Platform. I conducted analysis of data from approximately 200+ locations, comprising almost 28,000 data points, and formulated actionable insights. Moreover, I led the revamping of the Safety Management System framework, which received approval from the Board.

Understanding the exact root cause and engaging in in-depth discussions with team members have been instrumental in the smooth rollout of several initiatives. Convincing top management with technological advancements and proposing viable solutions has played a crucial role in gaining their support and successfully implementing my recommendations.
Preparing HSE-related board agendas in consultation with both management and non-management employees, as well as trade unions, has facilitated the enhancement of performance in HSSE aspects.

Recognition of safety at the field level has significantly improved under my leadership. There has been a notable increase in safety certifications at global platforms by all employees, with almost 200+ individuals inspired by my discussions to complete their NEBOSH IGC certifications across the organization.
Moreover, the value placed on safety has heightened, evidenced by financial institutions reaching out to us for insights into our best practices.
Furthermore, investment in the safety and health front has increased substantially by 200%, reflecting our commitment to prioritising the well-being of our workforce.

To become a safety influencer, I've chosen to lead by example. This entails actively participating in daily walk-around management and embodying the "walk the talk" concept. I continuously enhance my subject knowledge to align with global requirements.
Furthermore, I ensure that HSSE concerns are promptly brought to the attention of top management. Regular monitoring of HSE performance at predefined intervals is part of my routine.
I showcase the best safety attitude by remaining calm and understanding concerns from both the field and top management. These qualities enable me to serve as a safety influencer. Safety is not merely a lip service but a genuine passion for ensuring a better future for our nation and the world as a whole.
