TPSODL had been conferred with “State Level Electrical Safety Award- 2023” organised by Engineering in Chief (Electricity) cum Principal Chief Electrical Inspector, Odisha for best electrical safety practices on its 33/ 11 Kv Khandadeuli Primary Sub-Station Under Bhermapur Circle. The Prestigious award was declared by Shri. Pratap Kesahri Deb, Honorable Minister Industries, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Energy Odisha in the event organised for 4th National Electrical Safety Week-2023 at Lokseva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar on 27th June 2023. Also Head Safety, TPSODL awarded by for Technical Paper article writing on Suraksha Sandesh Magazine published by Department of Energy, Govt of Odisha during 4th National Electrical Safety Week Campaign.
  2. “World Safety Organization, India (State Level), OHS&E 2023 Excellence Award with Platinum 5 Star Trophy” under the category of Service Excellence.

Till date 47 no Safety Innovation/Step Change/Technological Intervention are submitted with required support and effort to make the concept possible for real onsite implementation. 08 no of Innovation Project submitted in Power InnoVista and 01 Project got qualified for final evaluation by TATA Innovista. Active Team member in AI-ML Based Remote Safety Monitoring, Drone Based Safety Surveillance Projects.
Below mentioned award and achievements are supported through required effort for participation, award document presentation, team coordination and presentation, and response to query of the award jury.


Describe and provide support on how your initiative impacted the Safety and Health management and performance of your workplace/community/industry that was above and beyond.

  1. Execution of public safety awareness plan through various creative and innovative action plan through Nukkad Natak, Suraksha Sachetanta Rath, Social Media Campaign, Safety Jingle, Conceptual Painting, IEC Activity Special Evets, and Focused Public Awareness Program like Suraksha Yatra and others.
  2. Required effort and support extend for reduction of LTIFR Rate (Target 0.34 and till date it’s 0.22).
  3. Required support extended and action taken for awareness on Nearmiss reporting and till date 73 no of Nearmiss are reported.
  4. 100 % Compliance tracking for Investigation closure of all employees, public, animal and near miss with learning implementation of employee incident happening across TPSODL by monitoring the CAPA list including Purple Strip Bulletin and other ATR’s.

  1. Required support extend for preparation of training module and plan for safety training of employees and BA including safety induction and need base safety training by following the TNI. Suitable support for operation of 16 Pratice Yard, 15 TSSDI Center, DDT Center (2W & 4W Simulator), and HOTT Center establishment at Ambagada by adding innovative idea implementation.
  2. 100% compliance monitoring and coordination for SHE L1 training for BA Employees with required schedule planning and coordination for execution. Till date 5131 no of BA employees and 198 no of TPSODL. Employess are trained under SHE L1 with success rate of 87.97%.
  3. Monitoring of 100% competency assessment for BA Supervisors & BA skilled employees with required support to various Division and Circle Team.
  4. Support and coordination extended for compliance tracking and support for Suraksha Sambad training and hand holding for 740 field executive employess till date along with other external training for ISO Lead Auditor, IMS Internal Auditor, TSSDI SHE Training the Trainer (TtT), and Internal Certified Examiner from TBEX for THSMS.
  5. 100% support extended for practice yard safety training for each BA employees (Once in a Quatre) by arranging required resources and managing trainers. Till date 18978 no of manpower imparted partices yard training during induction, re-validation training, and on job trainings.
  6. 100% completion of all e-Learning module assigned to individuals with required support to L&D Team for TNI Target achievements.
