I'm Melvin Loy. I am a WSH Officer with a strong passion for Workplace Safety and Health who helps fellow WSH Practitioners and WSH Advocates in creating a Safe and Healthy environment across all industries in Singapore.

- Created safety bulletins on unsafe/safe practices and workplace accidents from different industries.
- Educating employees the importance of Workplace Safety and Health.

- Created hazard identification reporting within workplace using a QR code system.

With these initiatives that I have implemented, I do tell everyone in the workplace that safety is a priority along with the routine work. This way, everyone in the workplace can participate and learn about the importance of Workplace Safety and Health and create a positive safety culture with proactive approach to prevent any potential accidents in the workplace.
Describe and provide support on how your initiative impacted the Safety and Health management and performance of your workplace/community/industry that was above and beyond.
I have to be resourceful by getting ideas from experienced WSH Practitioners and getting updates from authorities such as MOM, WSH Council, and attending conferences and seminars. This allows me to create an impact in initiating safety and health management and performances in the workplace, especially to my community of WSH Practitioners and WSH Advocates as well as in all industries across Singapore.
In your opinion, what are the attributes of a safety influencer? Do share with us on how you have demonstrated these attributes in your daily work that will earn you the recognition of a WSHAsia Safety Influencer Award Winner in your workplace/community/industry.
Being a safety influencer requires good attitude, being resourceful, and willing to share with many people.
With my good attitude in Workplace Safety and Health, I do make the effort to share resources with fellow WSH Practitioners and WSH Advocates so that a safe and healthy work environment can be created and they will be influenced with the same attitude in Workplace Safety and Health.
