In PGB’s continuous effort to curtail waste generation and embrace eco-conscious practices, we have successfully launched a food composting programme at the Regas Terminal. The concept is elegantly straightforward yet profoundly impactful: ensuring every bit of food serves a purpose. Rather than discarding food scraps, our dedicated colleagues have taken proactive measures to compost them. This initiative stands as a testament to PGB’s pledge to alleviate the strain on landfills while nurturing our environment. Transforming food waste into nutrient-rich compost not only prevents wastage but also enriches soil quality. Through PGB’s commitment to composting, we are not merely reducing food waste; we are generating a valuable resource that enhances land fertility. As year to date, RGTP has collected approximately 200kg of composts. The commendable efforts of PGB’s colleagues at Regas Terminal Pengerang serve as a model for adopting a health conscious lifestyle. Looking ahead, PGB plans to replicate this initiative across other GTR facilities throughout Malaysia within this year, further amplifying our positive impact on sustainability practices.
