Initiative Description
The initiative involved in repurposing stainless steel pipe waste into effective pipe chocks for stabilising large-diameter pipes during fitting and welding. The pipe chocks were designed to be mounted on pipe support frames wedging under the placed pipe and be able to be effectively secured. The design included 2 sets of bolts and pre-welded nuts, which will be used to secure the fabricated chock onto the pipe support frame, preventing unplanned rolling of placed pipe thus avoiding potential injuries.
