HIGHWAYS, RAIL AND WATER HEALTH & SAFETY HUBS

  • HIGHWAYS, RAIL AND WATER HEALTH & SAFETY HUBS

Websites provide useful information, alerts and tools

Organisations procuring construction work in the water, highways and rail sectors carry out these projects with key partners.

Health and safety is one subject area in which ideas and information can be useful shared between the client and project partners through ‘Health and Safety Hubs’.

    Highways Hub

The Highways Safety Hub website was originally set up as a communication tool and repository for the Highways Delivery Hub Health and Safety Action Group, which is the main supplier H&S consultative forum to Highways England.

The website is currently administered by one of the partner companies and the intellectual property belongs to the group as a whole and is endorsed and promoted by Highways England as its main H&S portal and resource library.

    Rail Hub

The Safety Central Hub is a one-stop shop to promote best practice health and safety within the rail industry containing a multitude of health and safety topics, advice and guidance, contacts, and resources including presentations and safety videos.

    Water Hub

The Water Health and Safety Hub is an online resource-sharing initiative between Thames Water and its partners, designed as a one stop shop for all health and safety material.

It aims to promote best practice in health and safety and also spreads lessons learnt across all partners, supporting the drive towards the three zeros target; zero accidents and zero harm through zero compromise.
